Communications is an authorization Spectracom dealer.
Public Safety applications demand accurate time synchronizationAccurate time-of-day is important in communications and command centers for time stamping events. Without accurate time, different equipment and systems display and record different times. There is no certainty of start/end times for events and tasks and you are left vulnerable to potential litigation. Time synchronization with legally traceable time® is critical for records accuracy and to support legal evidence in court. A Spectracom’s NetClock®/GPS system automatically keeps all the clocks in a center running exactly on time relative to the worldwide time standards. It offers fully automated time synchronization and eliminates the need for error-prone manual setting of time. NetClock is endorsed and supported by the major manufacturers, service providers and vendors in the 9-1-1 industry. Most of the manufacturers and system integration companies that provide equipment for 9-1-1 applications offer a NetClock interface. Spectracom NetClock Master Clocks are based on GPS (Global
Positioning System) technology - tracking up to twelve satellites
simultaneously and synchronized to their atomic clocks. This enables
computer networks to synchronize all elements of network hardware
and software (including system logs) down to the millisecond over
LANs or WANs - anywhere on the planet.
The new NetClock/NTP Master Clock offers available security features
that can be enabled or disabled including Secure Shell (SSH), Secure
Sockets Layer (SSL), Secure Copy Protocol (SCP), Secure File
Transfer Protocol (SFTP) and SNMP v1, v2c, v3 with host restriction.
Two front panel displays and additional ports are also available. An
optional dial-out modem provides back-up to GPS, or can function as
the primary, in case of disaster recovery.
Time code outputs are included to meet the requirements of numerous
systems - A 10/100 BaseT LAN port, RS-232 serial port, RS-485 data
bus port. Alarm outputs and programmable timer outputs are also
provided.
