Public Safety applications demand  accurate time synchronization

Accurate time-of-day is important in communications and command centers for time stamping events. Without accurate time, different equipment and systems display and record different times. There is no certainty of start/end times for events and tasks and you are left vulnerable to potential litigation. Time synchronization with legally traceable time® is critical for records accuracy and to support legal evidence in court.

A Spectracom’s NetClock®/GPS system automatically keeps all the clocks in a center running exactly on time relative to the worldwide time standards. It offers fully automated time synchronization and eliminates the need for error-prone manual setting of time. NetClock is endorsed and supported by the major manufacturers, service providers and vendors in the 9-1-1 industry. Most of the manufacturers and system integration companies that provide equipment for 9-1-1 applications offer a NetClock interface.

Master Clocks

Spectracom’s NetClock®/GPS systems automatically keep all the clocks in a communications and command center running exactly on time relative to the worldwide time standards. They are endorsed and supported by the major manufacturers, service providers and vendors in the 911 industry. NetClocks offer compliance to the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) master clock standard.

NetClock® / GPS Master Clock - Model 9183, v2.3

The NetClock/GPS, Model 9183 Master Clock is ideally suited for delivering world-wide, split-second timing to mission critical systems. The new NetClock/GPS offers additional reliability features. Available oven-stabilized crystal oscillator (OCXO) and Rubidium oscillators maintain time standard if time reference is lost. Optional dial-out modem provides back up to GPS or functions as the primary reference, such as for disaster recovery.

The Spectracom NetClock/GPS Master Clock automatically tracks up to twelve satellites simultaneously, and provides extremely accurate timing by synchronizing to the satellites' atomic clocks.

A variety of time code outputs are included to meet the requirements of numerous systems - A 10/100 BaseT LAN Port, two RS-232 serial ports, two RS-485 data bus ports, IRIG B/E AM/TTL, plus frequency outputs of 1 PPS and 10 MHz. Alarm outputs and programmable timer outputs are also provided.

Enhanced security features can be enabled or disabled: Secure Shell (SSH), Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), Secure Copy Protocol (SCP), Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) and SNMP v1, v2 and v3 with host access restriction, ensure operational integrity.
